 Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this program designed for?

Though our program was initially intended for university students interested in tech, we have expanded the program to include the many careers that relate to tech (such as sales, marketing, HR, design, and of course engineering). We also want to welcome recent graduates and current professionals struggling to make a career change. You must be at least 18 years of age to attend.

Will the courses be taught live?

The courses will be taught live via video on our YouTube channel, and archived as saved videos on the channel and our website. There will be time for students to ask the Xooglers questions live as well. We encourage students to attend the live sessions when possible to fully take advantage of the program.

What is my time commitment?

Think of this program as a four-credit course at your university. You will spend a minimum of four hours in structured workshops and industry chats Monday-Friday. Though there is no requirement for Global Program students, officially accepted students are expected to attend all scheduled events. These events will typically be scheduled between 9am-6pm PT, however we remain flexible to the schedule of students and speakers in different timezones.

Is this program open to international students?

Yes. In Fall 2020 we had students from over 10 different countries around the world. We try to keep our speaker schedule flexible to account for students in all timezones.

How can I keep up with Xoogler School news?

You can join our newsletter by emailing learn@xoogler.co. We will send updates about new lessons, publications, and offerings for students.

Can I attend another school program while attending this program?

Yes, you can attend our program while also participating in another school. We expect our students to be transparent about their time commitments outside of the program out of respect to our volunteers.
